Hello to ALL,
The problem I'm having is that I don't know what iphone model I have. I think it's an 8gb/3g but not sure. It has a silver covering and says 8gb on the back if that helps any. I've been trying to jailbreak it for a couple of days now but can 't since I need to also need to know the firmware I'm using. The upgrade button in itunes is grayed out so I've been using the restore function hoping that it upgrades it to 3.1.2 so I can use Blackra1n , but no luck!!!!!

Can someone please help me here!!! This is driving me wild !!!!!!JUst wanna be able to use the phone the way it was meant to be used. Have no apps at all. It's unlocked since I can use T-mobile on it.:dft005:frazzled, :041:crying,:035:onfire,:033:praying,:034:headspou nding,:036:inthedark

If it is a silver covering you have the original iphone. NOT 3G.

If this is the original iphone, then what firmware does it use and what software do I need to jailbreak it? I've tried to upgrade it to different firmwares and have had no luck. What should I do?

Plug into iTunes, click on update. You will be able to update through iTunes. If you cant, then what error do you get?
