screen goes blank while in voicemail

My screen keeps shutting off while viewing the voicemail screen. Also it says that visual voicemail is unavailable and the screen keeps shutting off in less then 10 seconds (I've got it set to a minute for auto shutoff). I have to hit the home key to wake the phone back up.
This was after receiving my first voicemail on the new phone today. It was able to download the message to the phone for play back. The message still is still on the screen.

I don't know why your screen would shut off. But, I do know that if you're in an area with bad reception or none at all, it will say that the visual voicemail is unavailable. That happened to me once before.
