Date & time zone issue on my 3gs

This is the first time I am posting here.
Recently I have encountered the above mentioned issue.
I am from Malaysia & as such my time zone is set to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia & needless to say my date & time are set accordingly to local time.
Over the past few days or so, I have noticed that that the time zone has changed to Los Angeles, USA automatically by itself.
As such all my appointments, alarm & so forth have gone hay wired. I did a soft reset twice, it didn't help either.
It will change back to Los Angeles time zone after a few hours or so. Eventually I did a master reset synced to itunes.
That too did not help. After I have done a master reset & about 4 hours later the time zone has changed again automatically.
This time, the time zone has changed to Cupertino, USA.
Appreciate very much if anybody out there can advise me how to overcome this problem. Thank you.

Time zone settings are in two places on the iphone
Settings>General>Date and Time>Set Automatically
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Time Zone Support
You may have to turn off automatic setting? Reboot phone after any changes.
Also make sure the Time Zone setting on your computer is correct for syncing with iTunes.

Followed your intstruction accordingly. 3GS has no auto setting for time zone. My PC time zone is incorrect & now I have reset it to my local time time zone which is +8 GMT. PC was on Pacific local time which is -8 GMT. That could be the problem as everythime I sync the iphone to the PC, the time zone changes to the PC time zone. Anyway will test the phone again.
