View Full Version : Can't install Shazam

Can anyone help, This is what happened.
I jailbroke my iphone and then some time after .... not sure when When
my phone restarted Shazam dissapeared.
I deleted it and then reinstalled it. Then when I restarted it would dissappear again.
It won't let me reinstall it again b/c says already installed but icon not there. So I would have to go to Itunes and unsync that app and then install it again.
I tried to sync to get it back on my phone, but still doesn't show up.
I've Tried....
- reinstall
- sync from Itunes
- deleting folder with winscp, then reinstalling
- I now did a full restore, and Installed it... but, now it DISSAPEARS RIGHT AFTER IT SHOWS UP. like it would pop up and then dissapear.:041:crying

Anyone have any ideas or how i can get this working?
All other apps are just fine. and I have alot....
Maybe i can try to get the ipa or deb file and install from there?? :dft011:wicked_smile

Do you have SBsettings installed? If not, install it from Cydia, open it, go to "more" then "hide icons" and make sure you don't have Shazam turned off there.

Yeah it sounds like a jb phone issue and shazzam was set in a category. You should also be able to search for it in spotlight. The app is probably there and in hindsight take advantage of the insights here at EIC. It will save you a lote of grief, time and restores!:ok:ok

Hmmmm

I've got a different issue with Shazam. It now doesn't give a location or album cover. Since the jailbreak...

Not sure what to say...

Do you have SBsettings installed? If not, install it from Cydia, open it, go to "more" then "hide icons" and make sure you don't have Shazam turned off there.

First off I have to say, I never turned shazam to hide, I did install sbsettings.
Also After I restore isn't the settings suppose to dissapear? I mean its not jailbroken anymore and its still hiding??? Anyways I installed sbsettings and then checked the hiding icon and it WAS OFF..... Im just wondering how sbsettings stayed there after I recovered it back to factory. :P

Hidden and "categorized" icons will often stay hidden, even after a full restore. Spooky, I know.
