Interesting stuff, even more power being brought to the iphone. If they start putting these types of chips into the next iphone, what are they going to call it? The 3GF, the F meaning 'Faster'

The 3GF, the F meaning 'Faster' Yes, this is absolute interesting! I'll guess we see faster iPhone's in the future included these kind of processors, 512MB or even 1GB RAM, better graphic GPU and faster signal on the road.

Possibility of a 4G phone? Yes! I know many here on EIC don't like this word, - because I called the new iPhone (before release of the 3GS!) 4G. Sure 3G signal is fair on the road for navigating, reading websites etc., but I would like to see "no lag" when remote (LogMeIn) my desktop somewhere in the world.....oh yes I'm dreaming...but...

I'm currently pleased with the way out technology is advancing, I would just love to see things go a little quicker. If the next iPhone has these types of chips in them, then there going to be awesome.

All cell networks should be upgraded to the highest standard possible. I have 3G most of the time, but it would be nice to have it all the time, especially on a 3GS.

Of course, a lot of competitors will have that chip in their phones as well.

Actually, not a lot of phones even have the 3G S ARM Cortex 8 processor. I read an article that price is the main reason why a few phones even have it (which includes the 3G S, the Pre and the Droid).

So, I'm thinking the Cortex 9 might be even more rare. Either that, or it will drive down the price for the Cortex 8.

I was talking about the major competitors.
