Does anybody know which app allows you to toggle wi-fi, 3G etc. from within any app?

SBSettings - don't leave home without it!

Thanks for the reply Kevin. :dft012:wink

Now, which one specifcally? There's like 6 versions. And do I need to install anything else to make it work?

Sorry for the newb question but I'm brand new to the jb thing. Liking it but I'm finding Cydia to be a different beast. I wish the descriptions of the apps were a bit more detailed.

As long as we're on the subject, I installed Backgrounder, but I'm not seeing any minimization of the apps. Are they supposed to be visible at the bottom of the screen or not? It does say "enabled" when I'm closing the apps.

There is only one. Cydia > Search > SBSettings. The others are SBSettings themes and toggles. After installing it, you'll also want to install some of the toggles, such as SSH, Insomnia, and Rotation Inhibitor. Backgrounder doesn't show you what is running at the bottom of the screen. You'll be able to see which apps are running in the background with the Processes toggle in SBSettings as well as stop them. mQuickdo or Kirikae will allow you to quickly switch between apps that are running in the background. mQuickdo has more features but Kirikae is free and gets the job done.

Okay so SBsettings is installed. Now where the heck do I find the toggles? I know there is no icon but I can't find the menu that's shown in the "more info" section.

I must not be cut out for this stuff. :dft006:unhappy

Now open SBSettings and go to More > Set Toggles. Others can be found by searching in Cydia. Is there one in particular you are looking for?

Swipe your finger across the status bar to reveal SBSettings.

Swipe your finger across the status bar to reveal SBSettings.

A Tap with two fingers works also...

Looking at the SBSettings About text, I think this additional start-up action was accidental.

Is there one in particular you are looking for?

Not really. As a matter of fact, I don't know what I'm looking for. :dft010:smiling
