View Full Version : Is this a ATT problem or a phone problem?

I'm thinking it's an ATT problem. There are times when I dial or try to text and it doesn't do it. It keeps me on the "calling number" and doesn't dial.

This happened yesterday and ticked me off because I didn't get any texts or phone calls for the entire freaking day!. My service was working because my daughter has a blackberry on my plan and hers was working fine.

It has happened before, but not all day - I'm really frustrated about this.

Has this happened to any of you, and if so, what do you do about it?

Thanks....

Try resetting your network settings. Sometimes I have the same issue and I end up having to turn my phone off and back on. Usually corrects it.

settings>general>reset>reset network settings

this has happened to me a few times, and I believe it is a combination of both AT&T and the iPhone, but mostly AT&T. I've been to a few games and concerts at Cowboys Stadium and it is almost impossible to dial out at times-although it is improving. Areas of high congestion on the AT&T network usually cause this. I noticed at the last Cowboys game I was at, it seemed like 1 in 3 people had iphones. of the 85,000 people there, that would be roughly 28,333 iPhones, and of course with the iPhone you have alot of data and text being transmitted. same happened on Texas/OU weekend at the State Fair here in Dallas.

I'd say it is mostly network congestion or lack of coverage, but the iPhone's RF does seem to be weaker than that of say, a Blackberry.

That's happened to me before, too. Just the other day, in fact. I just keep trying, and eventually the call goes through. I'd always assumed it was an AT&T problem.
