I received my iPhone 3Gs in early July. I was previously using a first edition iPhone. Once I got my iPhone 3Gs things seemed to be pretty great. A week or two later I started having difficulty with text messaging and I kept getting a lot of errors when I would send a message. Some days were awful, others were fine with no problem. Since then the issues have spread to both my internet and phone. I have difficulty connect to internet or making phone calls, and dropping phone calls is very common.
To help with my text messaging problem, when I would get a few errors I would turn the device off, then on, and try to resend and it would usually work for a while. I took the phone to the AT&T store assuming it was an issue with them considering I could still connect to my home network and that worked fine, it was just the wireless service that was an issue. They replaced my SIM card and hoped for the best. The phone worked pretty well the first day or two but hten went back to its old habits. After that it continued to just get worse.
I am at the point right now where powering off and on my phone no longer works, and I am service-less for the majority of the day. Right now I have a couple of times a day where my phone will decided to connect to the service and I will get all my missed text messages throughout the day at once. It disconnects before I can respond to any of them however. I havent been on the internet without using WiFi in a couple weeks, and I haven't made ore received phone calls in about a week and a half. At this point I basically have an iTouch with an expensive monthly bill. Is there anything I can do to fix the problem?
