Is it possible to sync photos without optimizing ?

Strange question i know.

Was just wondering if theres a way to put a larger file size on the iphone and then zoom in to parts of the pic further without it getting grainy.

Oh.. this is for pictures synced from the PC rather than photos taken with the cameraphone

as far as I know the optimization makes photos viewable on the iPhone
much like video encoding for iPod/iPhones. I know there is an option to put a copy of the full size picture on the hard drive of the iPod but since disk use is not a feature of the iphone I font think you have this option either.

So I don't thinks its possible to have larger viewable photos on your iPhone.
