When you have no interest in the team or aren't really into how the game is played cohesively, some people find it boring. I actually love watching an entire game. You just never know when something is going to happen. Even the pitchers at the plate surprise you sometimes!
But I'll tell you what, when it's a heated inning and a shot at the World Championship is on the line, there is nothing better!

It is all good. I know a lot of folks get into their baseball like I get into my college football. I do understand baseball quite well but it is just the slow nature of the game that turns me off. I did try to follow it one year, but by the third game I just couldn't take it anymore. LOL

Who am I rooting for or who do I think is going to win? Well, since I'm a Cubs fan(insert joke here) I am not rooting for either team. But who do I think is going to win and who do I have money on? Too much SP and bullpen along with very good hitting means the Yankees will take this in six games. The Phillies pitching is really going to hurt them in this series.

I agree, I'm trying to stay positive. The only thing killing the Phillies is their pitching, plain and simple. They're obviously capable of scoring runs, that is pretty evident, but they're pitching (other than Lee) is just not good...
And Ryan Howard, my god, I've never seen someone strike out so much in four games!

They're just really, really good. If we don't take advantage of their rare slipups, we don't have a chance. And if our pitching doesn't get more consistent fast, there's no way we'll keep up with their runs.
Our lefties' inability to see Sabathia's pitches last night was painful to watch, too.
KabaModern
11-02-2009, 12:22 PM
I agree. But why is it that Lee is the only one that can stop them from scoring? I mean, he let up 1 run in all nine innings he pitched. I mean, come on, 1 run! Against the Yankees, that's incredible. Our hitters are choking and we have one amazing pitcher to rely on. That's it.

i played softball in highschool and i had a line drive hit me right above my wrist and my hand went instantly numb. i toughed it out and continued playing while icing it on the bench. soon as the game ended i started balling and begging to go to the hospital. i ended up having nerve damage and had to sit out for 2 weeks. were some tough cookies to continue going!

God! This is like a wet dream for ESPN for the Yanks to win the WS. They love them so much and have such an east coast bias it's rediculous. I mean, look at them sitting on the field talking to the players, they are like children in a candy store. One reason I am really beginning to hate ESPN and Sportscenter.

True as that may be, the two biggest Yankee haters (Buck and McCarver) were in the broadcast booth, so I guess it evens out.....
