Lost Contacts and Music...?

Just purchased a new laptop and synced my iphone on it this morning at work....Now I have no contacts nor any music..

Does anyone know what the deal is..?

When you sync to a computer, you sync its library too. So unless you still have your old computer, its unlikly you will get your content back.

Unless you can restore to an old back up

So your saying that all the money I have wrapped up in music is gone...It was on my phone this morning in the car and now its gone thats great. Why are all my apps still on the iphone...?

Yeah, unless you have a backup of your data somewhere else you're kinda out of luck.
Personally, I don't let anything sync. I find it frustrating that most syncing is one directional(replaces instead of adds to).
In the future I would suggest checking the "Sync Manually" box in your iPhone part of iTunes.

iTunes keeps a record of your apps but this doesn't apply to the music unfortunately. When you sync with your home computer the music content will be put back on....if you were using another pc at home. I am assuming the laptop is not the pc you normally sync your phone. I hope you backed your contacts up to another program like Yahoo, Outlook, or something because you may have to do a restore from back up to get those back if you didn't sync them to another program.
