email, the best way

I got tired of being without my email when on the go and got an iphone today and now I'm wondering how I set this up on there. I don't know the technical terms for everything, but I have a website and so my email is my name @ mywebsite. I built the site myself (bluevoda) so I don't have a webmaster to run to. I've also heard that you can set it up to run through gmail.

Is it smarter to set it up through gmail or just to run it straight through the phone? (for ease of use)
and how would I do that?

well gmail is on your phone. where is your email(yahoo, hotmail, gmail,...)?

go to settings/email/add email/

I have my gmail on my phone already. I have another email christy@bonbonchihuahuas but I don't know the best way to access that my phone

you would need to know the smtp and pop3 servers. you would go into other and set it up through there. is that the company you work at? i'm not familiar with that server. can you forward your email from that site to gmail?

well do you have email on the server where your website is? you would need to get that smtp server address and the pop3 server address. that's all i can tell ya. who hosts your website?

oh gosh. i just took a look at the website : facepalm : lol okay try this:

smtp-smtp.bonbonchihuahuas.com

it would really be easier if you could forward that to your gmail account or make a gmail account just for the website. something like bonbonchihuahuas@gmail.com
