View Full Version : Waves on new monitor
I just bought a new monitor to go with my Unibody-MacBook. It's connected via a Mini-Display Port to VGA adapter. I am getting constant waves on the screen. Should this be happening? Will DVI make a difference as opposed to VGA?
Oh and it's a Benq E2200HD.
Thanks!
Also, my MacBook doesn't let me go above 60Hz refresh rate.

I just connected my MBP to a Samsung SyncMaster 920NW. Yes, it doesn't let me go above 60Hz either but there are no waves on the screen. The quality is actually good, I just need to optimize using the Samsung screen itself first.

Thanks! My first suspicion would be "dirty" power. Is your setup going through some sort of surge suppressor that can filter out "noise" from other appliances like frigs and such? If that is true, you may have a bad ground connection somewhere is your home.
