Everytime I attach my iPhone to iTunes and sync, it copies a few of my songs, that are already in the phone, to it. No, I havent made any changes to the songs or the metadata.

I disconnect my phone and reconnect and sync, same thing again!

Do you have your iPhone set to automatically sync? If so, next time you hook it up, set to manual.

iTunes should only sync the material you have selected on the music tab. Either sync the specific selections or the specific playlist.

I sync my entire library. Even after the songs are already on my phone, the phone keeps syncing them every time.

This doesn't happen with all the songs, just 13 of my 750+ song.

In your itunes, not iphone music tab, if you click on music are all of the songs checked off or just the ones that you are syncing?

Ok, now under your music tab do you have Sync music checked: entire music library checked?

Have you tried restarting your computer? Or unistalling reinstalling iTunes? Trying a different USB port?

How many songs are not actually syncing. Alot of them?

i think it would be easier if you set the phone to manually be managed because itunes won't do that. and make sure that on the phone you're not syncing each time it's plugged in/itunes is running. :ok:ok

Technically, iTunes shouldnt sync any songs if I havent added or changed any songs. But still 13 of my 700 songs keep syncing everytime! All other songs and these 13 songs play just fine on the phone and the PC. But having to sync them everytime I sync my phone is just not right.

It may appear iTunes is re-syncing these songs, however, as iTunes syncs play counts / skipped counts and playlists etc its probably just updating those.

Also, iTunes syncs after ANY change, so have you changed any tags / artist name etc?

If you have the most up to date iTunes and iPhone firmware, I wouldnt worry.
