Washed my iphone. Had V1 for two years no problem. Had 3GS 2 months and it's dead. Oh well off to Apple store in the AM.

Sorry. I always wonder how this could happen.

I have wondered that myself.

That sucks. I washed a pair of $300 earbuds once. No comparison to washing a phone since they still worked after drying out. But I kinda know that sinking feeling.

lol. I would be absolutely gutted. I can't help but laugh. My mate dropped his brand new Samsung down the pan yesterday. I don't know how you people do it.

Trust me as you get older you wonder more and more how in the hell did I do that and hope no one saw what you did. Not laughing at your loss hopefully just consoling.

Washing an article of clothing requires at least 20 minutes. I can't remember the last time I've gone that long without using my iPhone...

I am sorry for your loss.

That has to hurt. I'm sorry you had to experience that. These things can happen even to the most cautious person. I'm extremely careful with everything and watch my personal belongings at all times. Yet, just last week I dropped my wallet on the sidewalk. It is the first time I recall ever doing that. Fortunately, there was a nice samaritan who ran after me for two blocks and gave me my wallet. I was extremely grateful. Sometimes our minds are just elsewhere and in that momentary lapse accidents do happen.

Gutted... devastated... I couldnt put into words how I'd feel. Sorry about your loss hopefully next time you do laundry you'll check your pockets or buy a holster which IMO is much better way to carry your phone

Sad, you should put it in a shoe box and have a funeral in your backyard?

This scenario is one of those things that you say what an idiot, how could you do that....and when it happens to you, you realize it's just one of those things that happens.

Any chance you purchased it with AmEx? You may be able to take advantage of their replacement plan...

I have heard about people dropping their iPhone into toilet, sink, water at the beach...etc. - but I have never ever, ever heard about someone actually washing the iPhone!! The screen must have been very dirty!!

Anyway dude - I give you my condolences!
