Video Out Cable

Hey I've got the 3GS running 3.1.2 and I can't seem to find a video out cable for anything greater than the 3G. I have a cable I bought for my 3G that still works on my wife's 3G but it will not work on my 3GS. I've searched a few places on line but they all say 3G. Any ideas?

Yes Apple carries the AV cable for $49.00 but I was hoping...

Last time I looked for this helping another poster......only Apple had the cable that works with 3GS.
