I have 3g iPhone that is running latest firmware and is also jailbroken. For some reason today I have tried to send out a couple of mms texts today but it says it can't. I'm also on wifi so I don't see what the problem could be. Has anyone experienced this problem as well?

Try connecting to 3G network and see if that works,

also, what firmware are you running, the latest firmware is 3.1.2, thats the firmware you are running ?

make sure you have the rigth carrier file, as this i belive was required by ATT to make sure they MMS was running fine...

try a hard restore, and make sure your running the latest firmware and carrier file, if the problem persist, call up on ATT..

Is there a new carrier file that I am not aware of? I should have the latest one but I'll look into it.

yes there is a new carrier file, when MMS was rolled out this passed 25th, there was a new carrier file to install, install it and give it a shot and let me know if it works..

well i am pretty sure i have the latest firmware along with the latest carrier file and still can't send any mms. I dont know what to do, could it be that the jailbreak is causing this issue?

no, the jailbrake does not mess up your MMS, but hey, the latest carrier file is 5.6,(thats the one i have installed), make sure you have that carrier file installed, if not, connect your iphone to itunes, and hit, CHECK FOR UPDATES, if you dont have the latest carrier file, which is 5.6, then itunes should say that there is a new carrier file available, install it, and try and send an MMS, let me know if that works,

if it doesnt, tell me so we can figure out something else..

I have checked my phone and it says that it does have the latest carrier file 5.6 I would post a pic of my phone so you can see but I'm responding from my phone so I don't know how to do that. Should I just call AT&T? Are they gonna charge me that 29dollar fee since it's an iPhone related issue?

laugh out loud, no, the 29 dollar fee is when you call Apple, not AT&T, AT&T gives you all the support you want as long as you are a AT&T subscriber...

and yes, call AT&T, cause thats really strange, if you have the latest iphone firmware 3.1.2, the latest carrier update 5.6, and the latest version of itunes 9.0.1.8, then it should run fine, i dont know why it doesnt run on your, a friend of mines had a similar problem, but it was fixed with the carrier update, but somehow yours is not working,

just call AT&T, at let me know what they tell you....

iTunes is the only thing I'm not sure about. I know I have iTunes 9.x but I'm not sure I'd it's the latest one. So I will check that when I get home and call AT&T.

ok cool, let me know if it works out for you..

and to check the current version of itunes, go to HELP, scroll down and hit CHECK FOR UPDATES, if you have the latest version its going to tell you, if you need to update, it will tell you to update and it will...

I just reset my network settings on my phone and it appears that did the trick!
