The Call Waiting option is on in my 3GS. The tone of an incoming call is also heard by the one i'm talking to. I'm wondering if this is normal in iPhone device.
one more thing :).
I turned the Wi-Fi off and tried to access the internet. Although I haven't set up the internet configuration, it worked out without notification or asking for permission, which means i may not be aware of extra charges for using the internet. Wouldn't my iPhone let me know when accessing the internet via SIM?!

lol yeah the call waiting this is a slight issue...i hate that they can hear it beeping in. wi-fi is off but is 3g on? do you have a dataplan? if you do youre fine.

I don't think the iPhone has the permission popup when accessing the internet as other phones do. You have to be really careful if you don't have a data plan. Probably safest to ask the provider to block data so mistakes won't happen.

data plan is part of your service with your cell phone provider.
