Okay so i was thinking, even though apple is amazing, it is still not perfect. there are still things that they can approve and what would be a better resource than the people they're making the products for. i don't know if this will work or if it's been done before, but it's worth a try.

Apple tv
[improvement]
Make it a HD DVR, recordable so it can record television programs, and have the option to buy/rent movies or shows from the Apple DVR HD Store or thru iTunes. Add an On demand category for tv shows and movies as an alternative to buying/renting movies/shows for free. It should be either wireless on the airport network. Also, say you are outside tending to some gardening. The Apple DVR HD can stream a gardening show of choice to any iPhone/iPod touch/Nano or macbook air and pro wirelessly thru itunes or some Apple DVR HD program.
*iPod Nano... because we know one of these days it going to have wifi. Also I know the Apple tv can buy/rent shows
[reason]
Because the current apple tv is kinda weak, has no appeal factor (at least for me) and is not advertised at all.

I like my Apple TV. It works[I] great for streaming. It is a night and day difference from streaming video on the PS3. It's very smooth and allows skipping chapters etc. I hacked mine so I can stream non MPEG-4 format movies. You can directly purchase/rent movies from iTunes and it works well with the Remote App.

product: iphone/service
improvement: cheaper service
reason: well, even though it's less that 100 dollars, it's still kindda high for a phone service. plus i think if they lower the price, some more people might buy the iphone. just a thought.

ITs Apple. You pay a premium for having their products.

it's ATT.......

That's AT&T, not Apple. You can get cheaper iPhone service with T-Mobile because you can disable the data plan. You get what you pay for.

I'm pretty sure you can use their data plan (which is cheap as hell), but you're stuck with edge.

Yeah, you can, but you can also disable it if you can't justify the monthly cost of data.

agreed!!!! it's 10 dollars instead of the 30 that att charges, but att has better coverage. so it comes down to this
t-mobile~cheap and not the best coverage
at&t~not cheap and great coverage (in most states)
hmm.... how much slower is edge compared to 3g?

It'll depend on where you are, but around here 3g is about 4x faster than edge.

The iPhone is currently incompatible with their 3G network.
