No Service After JB on 3.1.2 [Archive]

So I just followed iClarified's tutorial on jailbreaking my 3.1.2 using Pwnage Tool and everything went smoothly, but now I have no service. It doesn't say no service- but I have no bars. I'm on AT&T btw, 3G iPhone.

Is there some quick fix to this or did I miss something during the JB process?

jailbreak is not unlocking it. you need to get ultrasn0w via cydia.

I know that. I'm on AT&T, so I just wanted to jail break it- not unlock it since that would be pointless considering I'm already on AT&T.

okay ummmm... did you reboot?

try your sim on another phone.

did you usually have bars before the jb?

check around to see if you can find a signal.

Yeah it rebooted after I jailbroke, and restored.

I had full service before I jailbroke.

i'm curious, try calling it and then try calling out with the phone.

Did you choose to activate the iPhone in PwnageTool when you created your IPSW? If so, start over and be sure that you uncheck activate in expert mode. Just for kicks, deselect Icy as well. Icy and Cydia don't play well together all of the time.

Nah I didn't choose to activate it because the tutorial said not to if I'm with AT&T or something like that. I also didn't install Icy.

I tried calling the phone and it went to voicemail, and all calls out are failing.

I had tried jailbreaking before, on 3.1, and this same thing happened so I had just restored the phone since MMS was out I didn't feel the need to JB. But now that there's the MiFi app, JB'ing sounded like a smart choice.

rebuild the firmware via pwangetool(make sure it's the new one) and make sure when it prompts if you have a contract that you click yes. otherwise install ultrasn0w.

I just rebuilt the firmware via PwnageTool 3.1.4, and activated it thru PT, and still nothing. :-\

then the last thing i could suggest is at least trying with ultrasn0w.
