Hey everyone, I had a really simple question I need to ask...

Both my friend and I have an Iphone, however her phone is synced to a different computer. She doesn't have access to that computer at all times so she wanted to find out if she can sync her phone with my computer and get all my ringtones, and not lose all the music she has that I don't. Is this possible?

Is there way we can mms eachother ringtones or is that out of the question, and we're both too scared to jailbreak..lol..

Anyway, Thanks in advance!!

i would probably say mobileme, but if you don't want to dish out the 100 or 120 a month just for that i think if you make sure that you are manually managing the files on the phone then it would work. if she wants just your ringtones then go into the ringtone section of the phone in itunes and make sure it is being synced with the ringtones in your itunes. that should do it, but make sure the phone is managed manually.

For the record, MobileMe is only $99 for the entire year.

Why don't you just give her the physical .m4r (ringtone) files and have her put them onto her computer and import them into iTunes. Then, sync like normal. You cannot sync your iPhone on two different computers (i.e., two different libraries) without jumping through some hoops: http://www.andrewgrant.org/2008/03/30/how-to-sync-an-iphone-with-two-or-more-computers.html

$8.25 a month is very cheap, IMO.

Plug up her iPhone and if it sync cancel it. Now go under her divice under iTunes and click manage my music. That will give u the option to add music or any other file without re-syncing to your computer.

Yup, manually manage music and then sync the ringtones you want.

IMO mobile me for £5 per month is extremeley good value for the service you get. However, I use google sync
