Quick Question on IPod Touch

I have IPod touch 8GB,and i JUST bought it this past weekend from best buy brand new and the Modle number is MC086LL...Is this the 3rd Gen ITouch? b/c i tried to jailbreak it and it wont work,i used BlackRa1n,Redsnow,Pwngtool and many more and none worked...if mine is a 3rd gen is there any jailbreaks out for it yet?

This is a 2nd gen actually its the same everything as the 2nd gen,Make sure you update to 3.1.x and run blackra1n.Then you should download cydia via a blackra1n app and you shoud be good
