Hello all,
Just got my iPhone last night. I plugged it into the USB port on the computer hoping to sync it and download all my music to my phone but instead I got a messaage saying... "This iPhone can not be used because the Apple Mobile Device service is not started" WTF does that mean? Anyone?.... Thanks in advance!

Check your firewall blocking logs. See if it is being blocked.

Click Start, right click (My) Computer, Manage. Then click Services and Applications > Services. Double click Apple Mobile Device, then click start. Restart.

If that doesn't work, then do this too, or do them in opposite order.

Go to start, type 'run' and open Run. Type 'msconfig' and press enter. Click the services tab, and in the list make sure the box is ticked next to 'Apple Mobile Device'.

If nothing works, reinstall iTunes. That should do the trick...
