Hi,
Something horrible just happened, I was charging my iPhone with my laptop and someone took my laptop without knowing it was charging on the usb port. The phone fell down and now the screen is completely white. I can still receive calls, when it rings I slide approximatively where the slider is and it's ok, it means that the touch screen function is still ok but the display itself is faulty. That's really horrible as this represents a lot of money for me...
Can you please tell me what are my options?
Really hope you can help me...

You can take the phone to Apple for a screen replacement ($199.00) or you can buy a replacement screen on ebay and attempt the fix yourself....I'm sure there are tutorials on the net.
Other than that, I'm not sure what else can be done....

Yeah, in your position, unfortunately that's all you'd be able to do. You could ask the person who dropped the phone to pay for damages :D

This happend to me around 3-4 weeks ago. Same thing. I was picking up my Iphone from short coffee table, and it slipped out of my hands and dropped on the hardwood floor. Got the white screen just like you. I tried everything to fix it, ie uninstall.reinstall, system restore, etc nothing worked.
Lucky I had 2 days remaining on my 1 year warrenty and called ATT first, gave them story my iphone has white screen now and I dont know why (of course i didnt tell them i dropped it). The nice rep transfered me to apple care (and gave me phone number incase got disconnected) after verifying i had warrenty on phone.
When I got ahold of apple care, I jsut simply told them my phone's screen turned white out of the blue, i tried system restore (which they sudguested and i told em i already tried that). They asked me if i tried the hard boot reset (hold both power button & select button down, told her i tried that too).
Well after a 5 min chat and the rep verifiying the serial number of my iphone, she says i have have warrenty and have 2 options to get a new phone.
First, go into a apple store and exchange it for a new one or replacement.
2nd apple would fed-ex me a overnight mailer to splace my iphone in and once they got my broken phone, they would ent a repalcement. (they had a extra option using this replacement where they ship you a iphone same time the free fed-ex mailer comes, but they wanted a $600 hold on a credit card for this option, and i told em no)
I went along with 2nd option, the mailer came next day, i sent out phone, apple kept phone for 2 days before sending me a replacement (this counts the day they received it)
I got my new phone 5 days total time since calling them on phone, pretty good service if u ask me. was a TOTALLY NEW PHONE, 3G same as i had before, i was hopign for a 3gs, but didnt get one.
Thign to note, before i sent my broken iphone, I made sure I restored it back to original state, ie no unlock/jailbreak and the memory whipped clean. last thign i wanted them doing was keeping my broken phone stating I had broken it by modifying it.
Hope this helps, I still havent jailbroke my new phone yet, i been reading whats availible now and bout the new update etc, last thing i wanna do is screw up my new phone.
Good luck,
BTW dont admit to damaging your iphone, just simple tell em it stopped working anad got a white screen.

I agree. He/she should have been more aware that something could have been connected to your laptop .. especially a white usb cord.
