AT&T Service Outage [Archive]

I just spoke to a friend that said that apparently AT&T had a service outage that was pretty widespread. I live in Cleveland, Ohio and mine was out as was hers and shes in Allentown, PA. Just a heads up. Both seem to be back up though.

I live in California, and none of my 5 ATT phones are working. I'm calling them now.

Edit I take that back, only 3 were down...all iphones. Back up now

I'm in central california. Near Fresno. Been off and on all day. Keep having to reboot phone. I called again and this customer support rep said there were outages in SF, Sacramento and Los Angeles. Probably the weather, but they are supposed to contact me again tomorrow.

My phone has been saying "searching" yesterday and today in SoCal but not all the time. It will just loose signal in places where I know it wouldn't have before. I just looked right now and I have 5 bars though...

Finally got At&t to admit that there are outages in my area after 2 days of calling and complaining. They confirmed outages in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Sacramento, Reno and my area Hanford, CA. If you are having a problem, like the "searching" feature or it saying you have 4 full bars and a 3g signal, when really you have nothing, switch 3g off (back to edge) and keep calling them untill they confirm it in your area. To switch 3g off go to Settings, General, Network and then disable 3g. They are supposed to call me when it's fixed....sigh
