"And, unlike Pandora, you’ll be able to fine tune your stations on the fly. The tipster also promised “better audio quality than other solutions out there” which we take to mean Pandora, AOL Radio, and Last.FM."

I just installed it today. So far, it seems better than Pandora. It gives more options to customize your radio. I might be replacing Pandora with Slacker Radio.

Downloaded it today to try out.
Plusses: :dft010:smiling
- Sound quality does seem better than Pandora
- A large number of built in stations by genre
Minuses::dft006:unhappy
- No ability to create custom stations on the iPhone. For me, this is a deal breaker. I really like the idea of combining artists into my own station, and from what I understand this is not possible on the iPhone version. I'll probably hang on to the app to see what happens in the future, but I'm really disappointed by the lack of this feature.
Anyone know something I don't about this?

I've already created 2 stations. Just use the find music option. Once the music starts playing, select name of the artist at the top, then select add to favorites. Once you've done that, you can select it from
the radio stations screen(main screen).

Will give it a shot. Either the 3.1 or carrier file update rendered Pandora useless in the car for me. Maybe Slacker will work. (fingers crossed)

Right, you can do this, but can you add other artists to the stations you create?
What I like about Pandora is that you can add additional artists to the stations you create, making for more diverse stations.

You can also access your account at www.slacker.com (http://www.slacker.com) & customize your stations by giving them a name & select specific artists and/or songs for that radio station.

And this is why you are a Genius!
I bow to your superior intellect (or alt least knowledge) and thank you for your help! I officially withdraw my "deal breaker" comment.
In my defense, I did contact Slacker support via their live chat and was told by the representative that custom stations were unavailable on the iPhone.
