What is the best app or whatever to change the sounds of text messages????

Unless you Jailbreak your phone there is no way to add ringtones. As for changing your ringtone, go to Settings>Sounds>New Text Message then pick from the wonderful selection of ringtones available.

My iphone is jailbroke. herd of an app called tone fx that may do this just wanting some suggestions

Try posting your question in the Third part Applications section of the forum.....that's where they comment on the apps available in Cydia. I'm currently using the trial version of tonefxs .... works ok so far, but other options would be nice.

Perhaps a Mod could move this thread to that section....

I haven't heard of any other app besides tonefx that will do it for you. Other than manually SSH'ing into your phone and replacing the files. Or putting the files in a folder and drop them into Winterboard.
