I scratched off the silver coating on the back to get my redemption code, then immediately went to the App Store to put it into my phone...using the same finger. Now my iPhone is COVERED is silver specs that are basically glued to my phone. There are hundreds and I can't figure out how to get them off without personally scratching off each one. My phone is a speckled mess now!
No disrespect for the gift card itself, I really appreciate it.

Hehe, also worth noting if you've never used one of theses: Take the card's advice and scratch LIGHTLY with a coin. I almost rendered one useless once because I nicked enough of the underlying letters to make it very difficult to read. I eventually got it.
Thanks again, Chris!

What if you get the iklear cleaning solution for iphone and other electronics? They sell it at Apple store, Best Buy, etc. That usually gets anything off and leaves my iphone looking like new.

Said in a Jeff Bridges voice from the Big Lebowski, "That's a bummer, man"
for real though, that sucks. All I can think of is some sort of cleaning solution with a microfiber cloth.
Can you take a pic of it?

Try masking tape to lift it off. I would be careful about trying to wipe it off, it may get stuck between the glass and the bezel.

I am guessing there is no screen protector on your iPhone so the only way to do it, as connie said, and get the iklear cleaning solution for iphone. Put a screen protector next time!!

THIS DID THE TRICK! But in the process, the tape ripped off my screen protector! Now there's bubbles all under it when I put it back on. What a disaster this has been... :dft002:amazed

Made me laugh !
Don't feel bad Wild. It's not a disaster, it's just a screen protector. I got some nice flatware for my 5 year employee appreciate gift a few months ago. I wasn't used to the length of the forks, and I ended up poking both of my eyes out, now I'm blind. ;)

Yikes, wild! I'm glad you got it off though. You know, I still don't know what I'm going to spend the gift card on... Nothing in the AppStore is screaming out BUY ME, BUY ME right now. I guess I'll hold off on purchases for now.
