Hi guys! does anyone know whether will apple update a new version with the batt percentage usage for iphone 3G? :)

They have this for iphone 3GS

Its highly unlikely that a firmware update will enable this feature. JB and instal SBSettings, this will enable you to do it.

Just jailbreak your iPhone. It takes 30 seconds with blackra1n

Yeah and you don't have to change the look if you JB but it just adds features that the 3gs has that the 3g doesn't. I wasn't going to JB my 3g phone but I did it last night and have what you wished you had. I love the percentage by the battery!

anyone know that name of the package to install to get this? The reason is I have this on my 3g from a previous JB and when I restored to stock it stayed on there. I have since jailbroken again but the percentages are off from what the front screen says and while I am charging the percentage at the top goes down? WTF?? I would like to uninstall and reinstall to see if this fixes.

It's not something you install seperatly, it comes with a specific package. Like it comes with SBSettings and extended preferences.

You need to do a restore to a NEW phone, not from back up.

That is what I was afraid of. Oh well. I will restore with out back and then restore with back up and see if it goes away. If not then I will just have to leave it with out all of my information that I have on here now.
