When I copy custom ringtones to my iPhone only ONE shows up in the CUSTOM field on the ringtone selection page on the iPhone. When I check with iTunes they all show up as being on the iPhone. the Anyone else having this problem? Is this a bug?
(I am on 3Gs 3.2.1 jailbroken w/ blackra1n)

Are they longer than 40 seconds?

Have you tried manually placing ringtones into the iTunes>Music>Ringtones folder in Finder/Explorer?
When I do it this way, it works for me.

hey nagyg,
i'm having the same problem. Only one ringtone will show up on the Custom Ringtones section even though i have many in the itunes Ringtones folder.
I'm also on 3gs 3.2.1. jb'd with blackra1n and the ringtones i'm trying to add worked before the blackra1n jb. Please post if you found a solution/workaround.

OK this is weird. I just sync'd all my music to my phone and now half my ringtones are missing. the strange thing is that the tones that are missing I added as ringtones after Jul 3 2009.
Yesterday, before I added my music, all my music worked...
EDIT:::I just took off all of my music and now they are back on there. phew.

Well, here is what I have found out:
'though none of my ringtones is longer than 30 seconds only one would show up in Custom Ringtones on the iPhone, no matter how many I manually moved to the Ringtone folder of the iPhone in iTunes.
But then I moved all ringtones to the Ringtone folder under Library of iTunes , changed to "Sync ringtones" in iPhone settings and voila - all 50 or so ring tones now show up under Custom on the iPhone.
However, changing to "Sync ringtones" automatically turned off "Manually sync music .." , so all my music amd video files were now gone from the iPhone (I have a laptop with no room left to have my music and video files on there as well as on the iPhone). Luckily I had it backed up with SharePod on a backup drive and could restore it all easily ...
