App to add text to PDF or Word document?

My challenge: I want to be able to add text to a pdf (or add a text box to an image in a word document) and fax that file from my iphone. I have a scanned signed prescription (in both pdf and word format) that I would like to be able to edit and send to pharmacies for patients when I am on the go.

I can fax files using efax, so that's not a problem. My issue is that I have yet to find an application that lets me either add text or intelligible writing to a scanned pdf image or an image imbedded in a word document.

I bought and downloaded Aji annotate, but it only lets you add comment boxes, not actual text to your pdf. Handwriting in Annotate also looks pretty awful.

Any solution out there?

Don't know of any app that will do this for you but there is a scanner app that can scan a paper (prescription?) document and email it. Also provides online storage of scanned documents.
