Quick question about updating firmware

Hi,

well all I wanted to know is can you upgrade from say version 2.2 all the way up to 3.1.2 without any problems?

My little sister has an iPod touch and has never bothered updating it since buying it. Still on version 2.2.

Would it throw me any crazy errors? :dft008:suprised. Also version 2.2 does that mean, its a 2g version? Just to make sure, she got it quite recently..

Usually, the update works without errors but it's always a good idea to back up your data as there are no guarantees that it will work flawlessly.

Also, you won't be able to update to 3.x unless you purchase the 3.0 upgrade in iTunes. Once you do it should work without any issues.
