Like a lot of people, I upgrade my phone to 3.1 only to find out there is no jailbreak as of now. After messing about, I finally managed to get my phone back down to 3.0.1 and re-jailbreak it. If anyone is interested, here are the steps (for Windoze users):

1: Via iTunes, shift & restore button and select 3.0.1 (or 3.0) file. Let it do its thing and eventually it will error with the 1015 error. Shut down iTunes and load up QuickPWN. It will complain about your phone needing to get out of restore mode and will tell you what to do. Follow the process and the phone will reboot.

2: Shut down QuickPWN and load up iTunes. It will activate your phone and you will have phone signal again. If you don't want to jailbreak, you can stop at this point. Now run redsn0w and jailbreak your phone. Job done.

Points to remember. Make sure you activate your phone before jailbreaking. This is where a lot of people have been going wrong.

I now have 3.0.1 jailbroken, running on 05.11.07 modem firmware.

1. How do I "Via iTunes, shift & restore button and select 3.0.1 (or 3.0) file?" Do I need to download a ispw file with 3.0 firmware? any links that work to find it? 2. What is this QuickPWN you speak about and how do find it. I saw a website with that name but not sure what you mean by load up QuickPWN ? thanks
