Looks pretty cool. For the price it seems like a steal. The voice guidance packages look like they will cost $25 bucks a YEAR which isn't bad considering my Nuvi costs $100 a year to update maps. I plan on trying it out once I get my truck back from the shop in a couple of weeks.

I haven't tried it yet but I'm a little skeptical about the pricing. The reviews weren't so good. It looks like it provides a whole lot of unneeded information but the actual GPS driving directions fall short. The maps are not stored on the iPhone. Please give us a review when you try it out.

I was just looking at the reviews and it averaged 4 stars on itunes. What reviews were you looking at? I would like to check those out.
They do give you a 30 day trial but like I said my truck is in the shop and don't want to blow the trial period for the voice guideline. It will be at least 2 weeks before I can try it

Yes it has a 4 star rating but I was referring the cons the users were mentioning such as the app using Bing maps which, according to the user, took him out of his way. No TTS. Again, the maps are not stored locally so if you lose your signal, it's useless. But for the initial price, it's a steal. The monthly fee, I'm not too fond of. The free 30 day trial is just for the turn by turn voice guidance.

Right, the $2.99 for the app is not a deal breaker ;) And like I said the $25 a year (for the voice guidance) is cheaper then what Garmin charges me (at this time) for new maps. I am just looking at the total investment.
If and notice I say "IF" you enter a destination and it downloads the maps at that time it might work pretty.
I guess I am just being hopeful. LOL
