I looked in the AT&T section and others but could not find this. I might be blind But see link below.

I was just reading about this too from the Washington Post: http://voices.washingtonpost.com/posttech/2009/10/are_apple_and_att_getting.html

I guess they haven't officially said that they'll allow it yet (considering Apple wanted nothing to do with Google Voice OTA, etc.), but we'll see what the conference tomorrow holds. That could be very exciting and a big step in the right direction in many consumer's minds...

Yes the way I read it is that they have decided to allow VOIP over 3G, but Google Voice is not a VOIP app.

That's correct. Technically it's not considered a VOIP service.

Yeah but there's been that VERY recent legal spat over the Google voice app and I wonder if that had anything to do with this...

I don't fully believe AT&T when they say they had nothing to do with this whole Google Voice fiasco. I wouldn't be surprised at all if it is finally approved by Apple very soon...

This is pretty huge for Skype, too!
