Hi guys, i have a really big problem, i hope you can help me in some way.
So i upgraded my iphone 3g from 2.2.1 to 3.1, and that version (3.1) changed my bb. So i cant unlock it anymore, i searched everywhere on the internet i can't find a soliution. Wahat should i do? i can't use my phone becouse my sim is on onother carrier.

Thanks for the answers. I really need to solve this problem :)

My first question; why of why did you update to 3.1?

Surely you most have know that you would lose your yellowsn0w unlock.

when i was updating iphone i was talking to friends and forget about new 3.1v. I thought it'll be 3.0v. And now i have a big problem..
So, any ideas? :)

I think you're out of luck and will not be able to unlock it again any time soon. I've only unlocked a first-generation iPhone on 3.1, but it appears that unlocking an iPhone 3G after you've already upgraded to 3.1 is not currently possible:

GOLDEN RULE: If you are using a iPhone 3G or iPhone 3G(S) with ultrasn0w and rely on ultrasn0w to obtain cellular service then you should only update your device with an .ipsw that is made with the new PwnageTool. There are no second chances with this. You need to remember that PwnageTool will provide an upgrade path to newer versions of the iPhone software in the future.

This is from the Dev Team's blog here (http://blog.iphone-dev.org/) - they are the people that put out the iPhone unlocking software.

macgirl is correct, you're out of luck and maybe permanently be out of luck. It may be a long time until they find a way to unlock the upgraded baseband. Sorry...

Yep, your pretty much locked in a glass cage of emotion. I know 3.1 can be jailbroken if you had a previously pwned version of 3.0 or 3.0.1, however, you updated to the official 3.1, when what you should have done was update to a Jailbroken version of 3.1 which would have protected your unlock.

So in basic the phone you have at the minute is useless to you until a new unlock becomes available. Sorry.

ok and if i get a new *.ipsw made on new pwnagetool, with mac (becouse it's only for mac's) and that new ipsw, will be jb, and i wrote it to my iphone. Can it help me or no chance?

No, to preserve the baseband on 3.0 and 3.0.1 you needed to AVOID upgrading. Again, as of now, you're permanently stuck.

this is very bad... in some way i downgraded to 3.0 but i can't change my bb yeah? and i can't unlock 3.0 with 05.11.07 firmware?

There is no way around this. There are baseband down graders available through Cydia, but even those won't help you. Your stuck unfortunately.
