I have a feeling if Apple really feels it's behind the rest of the market in terms of browsing experience, it will step up to fill the gap. As is... they're not. Even without Flash, browsing on the iPhone is still the best.

all of the big companies with flash websites are just making iphone apps... i don't see apple bothering with it for a LONG time.

I guess but there are some who use their phone more than the computer for browsing. If I'm out and need to check something before I go to the mall or what, I'll check it on my phone; with the lack of flash, that can be a pain in the ass! Someday. At least Apple was smart enough to not follow RIM and use a java OS. That is the dumbest thing I've heard since iTunes on Motorolas was around!!
