I have a 2gen. running 3.0, Iphone if i udate my carrier would I be able to get MMS?

MMS is not supported by Apple/AT&T for the iPhone 2G. There are hacks; however, if you're jailbroken to make it work. I cannot verify if infact they work but there are multiple hit results on Google for such...

Your post isn't clear. Do you mean iPhone (original) or 2nd generation? If you have the iPhone 3G or iPhone 3GS, it will work...but you'll need iPhone OS 3.1, not 3.0.

MMS does work on 3.0 for either one of those phones you just have to download the right ipcc file.

You can get MMS on the 3G, which is also known as the 2nd gen iPhone.
