Damaged back

would this work, and is it easy to replace?

Had a look cause my black back cover is quite scratched too

Found a link to a video on how to disassemble the phone here
but think I will live with the scratches - seems awfully complicated ( not to say risky on putting it all together again ) to take the thing apart !!!
