Hi,

I have a business and I currently have 3 phones (2 work & 1 personal). The reason i have three is that I am always flying to different country's.

Anyway is there any way I can setup 1 phone (my iphone) to receive an email when the other 2 phones get text messages? Is there an app out their already or would it be even possible to design this?

This would save me a lot of hassle since I would only have to carry 1 phone.

Hope I am clear in my description.

Thanks!

Sounds as if something like Google Voice would be perfect for you. Give the GV number to your contacts and then, through the app, you'd be able to forward activity according to your needs using the rules you would set up.

Google Voice was going to be my suggestion. Set up push gmail, give out your google voice number, and have it forward your texts to your gmail account. BAM! Free, instant texting.

Weird, I signed up two weeks ago and already received invites (for both of my gmail accounts).

I just got one.

Google Voice is amazing.

I don't have long distance on my home phone since we use our cell phones for that.

But, now with GV I have long distance. Good stuff!

There are so many uses for this it's amazing. I need to get my wife an invite now.

Google Voice is definitely what you need. Speaking of google stuff. Anyone get an invite to wave yet?

Now that I've been messing with GVoice I have to say it's an amazing app.

OP - You could set that type of functionality with GVoice. You'd have to give clients your new GVoice number. That new number would be your 'primary' number. You can set GVoice to ring any number of phones you own. It can also text/email you when you've received a voicemail. The email message even sends the transcribed message.

I even configured it so that I have free long distance from my landline. Theoretcally I have free long distance from any phone within my 'home' region.
