Jailbreak = No push notifications?

Just been flicking through settings in the Ebay app and noticed this little disclaimer...

"To ensure push notifications work, you must not be using a jail broken device"

Is this correct? I was aware the 3G iPhone had a push notification fixer in Cydia, but what about a jailbroken 3GS?

Can anyone shed any light?

I have 3gs jb & unlocked. Gmail and IM+ push works perfectly

Yeah, I have a 3G, 3.0.1, Jailbroken.. And EVERYTHING with Push works great!
