Restore 3.0.1 from 3.0.1

Hi All,

I want to restore a fresh 3.0.1 firmware to my iPhone. I currently have 3.0.1 jailbroken but want to start fresh. Is there any way of doing this? Obviously restore via iTunes will take me to 3.1 which I dont want as it cant be jailbroken as yet.

Im sure its been asked before but I simply couldnt find a conclusive answer.

apple has blocked all upgrades below 3.1 their reason is " everybody will have to update to use apps eventualy!" among other things.

next time you might want to say which version of "iphone" you have. i know the 3gs updates are blocked not sure about touch 1st gen or iphone 1st or 2nd gen.

Hi, its a 3GS. So there is no way of doing this restore not via iTunes?
