Alright, so I decided that I wanted an iphone, should have got one when I first joined at&t but that is my own fault, so I began to scour the net for an iphone, I found one called an I9++, So it was cheap I thought awesome! Iphone Time! I found myself driving down a road, under a bridge to an unmarked building, bought the phone, but to my suprise, a horrible phone!

Next, I found an lg vu, bought it and am currently on it.

However it is not an iphone. grrr

I began to look onward for one on ebay, craigs list, and so on. Finally i found one, a trade for my lg vu, and $120, sweet! It's iphone time!

We set up to meet, I called to confirm at 2:00pm after working all night, and I get a text back

"This lady gave me a better deal, I'm getting a G-1, I'm srry"

grrr. lost sleep

Then I found it, Iphone 2g, 8gb, cosmetically awesome, and the pics look fabulous!

I drove an hour away to get it, it came with a charger, and a case, and its truly beautiful.

Then, I got home, hook it up to itunes.......
Then I went to best buy......
Then I went to apple store......

The port is broken. It's alright you can laugh. $140 for a broken phone :029:eyeswideopen

So, do I get it fixed for $50-$60 or do I resell to get a 3g, or can I give you $20. :dft010:smiling

Interested? or anyone else for that matter Jesus_is_one_God@yahoo.com

thank you

"ALMS, ALMS for the frustrated and stressed!!"

This post makes absolutely no sense to me. Why would you buy a phone without personally verifying you're getting what you paid for?

when i bought the phone it was on and said only needs to be put on itunes i plugged the charger and the battery symbol came on there was no way to tell it was broke or i would not have bought it at all

You have more faith in people you don't know than me! I would never buy a phone from a third party without being able to test it.

You're one strange bird.

What? He made sense. Nothing strange or odd about it. And certainly no reason to insult the guy.

Many people, some even right here on EIC, have either bought or sold iPhones without the other party even checking it 100%.

To the OP: I would check out some of the third party repair guys. It's possible they can fix it for less than $40. Look for guys that do iPhone batt replacements--they might be able to do the port.

At $50-$60 it's borderline being worth it for a 1G iPhone, IMO (Vs. selling it to recoup losses)
