I have an 8gb 2GB on 3.1 that has has been restored to preactivation.
It keeps rebooting into recovery mode until the battery dies.
And for some reason I cannot get the phone into DFU mode for the life of me
(I have tried for a total of 6 hours so far)

Ive tried the iRecovery trick but after 2 reboots it restarts the loop over.

Is there anything I can do?
Can I sell it in this state? If so, for how much?
Can I repair it?

Edit:
I use the same steps listed on redSn0w. Hold Power + Home for 10. Release Power and continue holding home for another 10+ seconds

The phone is on a reboot loop. No connectivity to iTunes.

Can you tell us the exact steps you are using to try to get it in DFU mode?
Does it ever get past the Apple logo, or is it just a continuous crash loop? If it is successfully going into recovery mode, is iTunes recognizing it at that point?

1. You can attempt to restore it.
2. If the restore fails, you can sell it like that. cashforiphones will give you $80.

Quite funny as I just bought the phone 2 weeks ago for 180.
Is there any possible fix for this? (Part replacement?)

lol, you didn't answer any of my three questions. I can't help if you don't answer them. ;)

Once you get it fixed, it will be worth $150-200 again.

Hold Power + Home for 10. Release Power and continue holding home for another 10+ seconds

The phone is on a reboot loop and boots INTO recovery mode. It continues to do this even when connected to iTunes. iTunes does see it but the iPhone restarts before anything can be done.

Do I need a new logic board or something?
