No MMS carrier update on 3.01 3gs

I have itunes 9.0.1.8 and a jailbroken iphone 3.0.1

The apple software updater has previously downloaded the 3.1 software, but I have not and will not be wanting to install that.... I can't get the carrier update working because there's no "check for update" button, I'm guessing because I've downloaded the 3.1 software and it wants me to install... any options for me here?

You won't get the carrier update in iTunes unless you update to 3.1 first. If you want MMS, while on 3.0.1, you can use this tutorial,

Yeah, I won't be updating to 3.1 either. Glad my MMS has been working for months so there is no need for me to update. I did learn how to mod the ipcc file to change stuff though, like when you want to enable or disable MMS Group Chatroom. That's when it would send group SMS's as MMS's. They disabled it on the latest ipcc but I learned how to activate it again as well as other stuff! :dft012:wink
