I only have 200 for texting, now that I'll be using it more how and where do I check my usage so I don't go over. I couldn't find it under my account. Thanks

You can check under your account info at AT&T's website or get the free AT&T mobility app in the Appstore.

On your phone, dial *3282# and call the number. You'll get a text response back shortly.

I'm so new with texting. I have 200 and I text quite a few today and I still have 198. How does the usage breaks down. Is it per text or minutes?

It's per text. If you texted a bit today, it'll probably take 2-3 days for it to show up on AT&Ts website. It says that it can take up to 72 hours for it to appear. So don't go thinking that you've only used two. I upped my plan from the 200 to the 1500 because I was going over ridiculous amounts. And I've even gone over the 1500.

I've gotten instant text updates using the AT&T app on my 3GS.

I didn't say you couldnt. I'm just saying that on the website theres a disclaimer that says "Could take up to 72 hours for texts to appear."

Yeah get unlimited cause it takes a min to update like everybody says I went over 500 text with my 1500 and I was just a week in a half into my stuff starting over thank god I had the v1 iPhone cause it's usually 25 cents a text but with the v1 it was only 3 cents a text

It's not 25 cents a text. It's 10 cents a text.

Actually, I think it's actually 5 cents a text...All I know is, I went over by like 200 or something and my bill was only $17 more. So it's definitely not 25 cents a text.

I had to reread what I wrote I wasn't being iPhone specific just a regular phone on AT&T is 25 but the lady didn't notice I had the iPhone so she said that but then relized I had one which was the version one and it was 3 cents a text which came out to $16 and some change then the 3g was 10 cents
