I don't have a family text plan, so that's why mms didn't work for me, I just kept getting the red exclamation point. Now that it will be out tomorrow, would it work tomorrow automatically if I redo the process of downloading the ipcc file now? I'll be at work tomorrow most likely when it becomes available through iTunes, and I don't want to wait.

It's possible, but seeing as this is the first time AT&T has had a mass roll-out for MMs, it might be difficult to tell for sure.

Only in Hawaii I believe. It's been Friday for 4 hours and 44 minutes here in Florida. How's the future looking over there?

I definitely would wait.

I'm just getting a prompt for a new 9.01 version of iTunes.

The date changed from 9/22 to 9/25. 9/25 is Friday (it's now 8:00AM Friday AM where I am).

There is currently no prompt to update iTunes or the iPhone to 'activate' MMS. Any idea as to how MMS will become activated - or will it magically just start working?

I don't know for sure but I'm almost positive they'll send out a mass text like they did with some of the other major updates, it's just a matter of when...I'm guessing(hoping) it'll be out between 2 & 3 pm eastern time... that would coincide with the late morning release over on the west coast

I have the new iTunes prompt...downloading that then checking on the update.

They were talking about the afternoon (EST). So it probably won't be out until at the earliest 11 a.m.

It's 0723 in California right now, so we have about 4 more hours.

I've had iTunes 9.0.1 for a couple days now. It's bug fixes, not a magic MMS pill.
