What's the deal? I know it comes out tomorrow, but how do you get it on your phone? And with family unlimited, will it cost anything extra?

Probably through a carrier update or software upgrade available lat afternoon on the east coast, late morning in the west. No extra charge. :ok:ok

There will be a carrier update via iTunes for the phone sometime tomorrow. Depends on where you live. To be released tomorrow morning West coast time.

Alright, sounds good thanks guys
so it'll be like updating the software? Just click update and let it go?

Hopefully it's as simple as that. But your guess is as good as mine to what else it screws up.

As long as it's just a carrier update, you can just click it and let it go.

Usually iTunes lets you know if there is a carrier update and it will ask if you want to install it without upgrading the actual firmware, for those of you anxious about going to 3.1.

That's what we are all expecting. It's been that way in the past but there's no telling how Apple might handle this one, especially in lieu of the fact that the 3GS can no longer restore to 3.0 or 3.0.1.

Apple could really hang us on this one. Do I keep my JB or do I want MMS ? That will be interesting to see how it plays out.

If that's the case, there's no way I'm trading tethering for MMS.

Do you tether via BlueTooth or USB? I just tried tethering last night for the first time after getting MMS a few weeks back and for some reason I can no longer tether via USB but BlueTooth works.

I just use USB. It still works fine for me, but I haven't ever tried to enable MMS.

As with all other messaging plans, SMS and MMS are both included.

Whats to stop us from keeping our current carrier. I have 5.0 and get MMS and tethering....if I dont upgrade.....I still have both.

There will be a carrier update through iTunes, and then it will count against your number just like SMS messages did.

I hope the system can handle it. I sent more pics and video on my nokia than text.
