i went through a few video cords on ebay but none would show videos, just sound, yet the sellers were so sure that these video cables actually work and keep selling them.

are there ANY cables that can hooks up 3GS to view on TV? i would love to have a cable to have my iphone on TV sometimes, like if playing games, or watching youtube on TV through the phone... let me know if you know sometimes, because i tried finding some that WORK and couldnt

I found a page with many cheap cables for this purpose. All of them stated either not compatible with 3G or compatible with 3G running 2.2 or lower firmware. No cables period to support 3GS. I am reading apple changed compatibility in the firmware after 2.2 to only work with their A/V out cable. Of course I couldn't find the A/V cable on Apple's website. Maybe other forum members can tell you something different. Absolutely amazing if this is true.

Edit: Thanks iNinja...you are fast lol. Why couldn't I find those dangit.

LOL, no problem, although Apple cables are expensive, they work. I just typed iPhone 3GS av cable into the Apple store search box.

The Apple component cable for my 3GS works great.

I agree with all of the previous posts, although they are pricey, the Apple cables do work. I have two of them, one for travel and one permanently hooked to my tv at home.
