Texting Sounds...

How about giving us more than 6 crappy sounds for incoming text messages.

...or better yet...let us create our own! Is this too much to ask!?

I'm ranting and raving before I even ask but is there a way to change the incoming text sound to something of my liking??

You can do it whilst jailbroken, but it is definitely a headache. I hate walking around or sitting somewhere and hearing my text noise only to find out it's the girl or guy beside me.

I've always kept my iPhone a virgin but I think the time has come to jailbreak it once it's released for 3.1. It's the little things like this that intrigue me...

It's really not, honestly. Especially if you don't make your own. It's as simple as downloading a sound pack, and applying with winterboard.

I just meant a headache in the sense that it should be an option that is standard. The Cydia group has made it quite easy to get custom texts and the sort via download.

Agreed with you there. That, and setting different notifications for different contacts. :(

I agree, it can be really simple with winterboard. Also, if your confident about changing files using SSH it can take less than 2 minutes to change system tones...

Agreed, it should be an available option on stock phones though
